Role Pricing & Entitlements

The app is installed. There is nothing to set up here — you configure it inside your Shopify admin, on the discount itself.

Where to configure it

Discounts → Create discount → Role Pricing & Entitlements

Open your Shopify admin and go to Discounts.

What it does

Pricing by role

Match your existing customer tags to product types or vendors and set any percentage from 1 to 100. At 100% the item is free.

Free shipping by role

Give chosen roles free shipping. It applies to the cheapest option, so a shopper can still pay to upgrade.

Per-order limits

Cap how many of a product type one order can contain. Quantities are counted across the whole cart, so splitting an order into several lines does not get around the limit.

Good to know

Rules only apply to signed-in customers who carry the tags you name. Guests always pay full price. You can require an approval tag so only vetted accounts qualify.

The app stores nothing outside Shopify. Your rules are saved as metafields inside your own store.
