Who this covers

Role Pricing & Entitlements is a Shopify app built by amplifi.studio. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with data when a merchant installs it on their Shopify store.

What the app stores

Nothing outside Shopify. The app has no database, no analytics, and no application server. Its configuration — the entitlement rules a merchant writes, and the list of customer tags those rules reference — is saved as metafields inside the merchant’s own Shopify store. That data never leaves Shopify’s infrastructure.

What the app reads

When a shopper reaches checkout, Shopify runs the app’s functions inside Shopify’s own environment and gives them three things: whether the signed-in customer has the specific tags the merchant’s rules name, the product type and vendor of each item in the cart, and the merchant’s saved rules. The functions return a pricing, shipping, or order-limit decision to Shopify and keep nothing.

The app does not receive customer names, email addresses, shipping addresses, payment details, or order history. It cannot see any tag a merchant has not explicitly named in a rule.

What the app transmits

Nothing. There are no outbound network calls. Shopify functions run without network access, and this app makes no external requests of any kind.

Compliance webhooks

Shopify requires every public app to respond to three privacy webhooks: customer data request, customer redaction, and shop redaction. The app serves these at a Cloudflare Worker endpoint that verifies each request’s HMAC signature and acknowledges it. Because the app stores no data off Shopify, there is no data to return, export, or erase in response to these requests. No webhook payload is logged or retained.

Subprocessors

Cloudflare Workers hosts the compliance webhook endpoint described above. It processes only the webhook notification itself and stores nothing.

Data retention

The app retains no data. Uninstalling it removes its configuration along with the discounts and validations it was attached to, inside the merchant’s store.

Changes to this policy

Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date above. Merchants with the app installed are notified through the Shopify App Store listing.
